The Care Quality Commision (“CQC”) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England and monitor, inspect and regulate services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety publishing what they find.

 

The Thornbury Gamma Knife Centre (Provider The Thornbury Radiosurgery Centre Ltd (“TRCL”)) was inspected by the CQC on the 20th /21st September and 5th October 2016 and the findings and ratings have recently been published and can be found here.

Lynne Brooks, Chief Executive Officer of TRCL commented “The CQC report has identified that the patient journey and treatment is Good at all levels and I thank the staff and clinical team in delivering this service. As noted by CQC the feedback from patients is overwhelmingly positive and we are pleased that the NHSE service specification is being delivered in full. The points raised by CQC on reporting have already been acknowledged, reviewed and addressed. I am confident that the Centre will continue to go from strength to strength in delivering excellent patient care.”
