NHSE Clinical Commissioning Policies

NHSE have developed commissioning policies for  stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) or stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) for the treatment of various indications in accordance with the criteria outlined in the documents that can be downloaded below.

In creating these policies NHSE  reviewed the clinical conditions and the options for their treatment. It has considered the place of this treatment in current clinical practice, whether scientific research has shown the treatment to be of benefit to patients, (including how any benefit is balanced against possible risks) and whether its use represents the best use of NHS resources.
